Just a heads-up to say that we are now paying all UK affiliates in GBP (using XE.com pure conversion) on a weekly basis using BACS from our UK (Natwest) account so no more being stung by ridiculous bank and conversion charges!

We have only gone and done it again!

As of the week commencing 19th July, 2009, ALL affiliates will be entitled to receive weekly affiliate payments. Affiliates being paid weekly will need to have exceeded the $200 threshold prior to receiving payment.

To qualify for weekly payments you must have received a telephone verification call (almost everybody already has), so if you would prefer weekly payments and you are still to be telephone verified, then please contact us to re-arrange the call. Also, to qualify, you just need to send us an email to confirm that you would like to switch over.

If you would prefer to continue to receive payment on monthly net-7 terms (with a $50 threshold) you do not need to do a thing.

Once again, we have listened to our affiliates wishes so thank you once more for your ongoing support.

Please find below stats for April (so far) representing the top 20 campaigns on EPC (Earnings Per Click) performance:

Please note that these figures may be distorted by email promotion (where clicks may not be recorded) or by being incentivized capaigns (where the EPC will be higher than normal).

As most of you will know, our target number of campaigns at launch was 200+, and we narrowly missed that target due to being very selective about the campaigns we allowed onto our network.

However, since launch (2 weeks ago), we have added another 75 or so campaigns and so, at the time of writing, the total number is at 226.

So, if you would like to promote a campaign that we do not currently have on the network, please let one of us know and we will endeavour to add it at the best possible payout price.

Next stop, 300!

We really appreciate all of this early affiliate activity and so have decided that, whilst the network settles and affiliates commence with voting on future rewards/awards/bonuses, etc, we would get things rolling with our first bonus scheme.

Basically, it works like this… 

All of April and May commission (combined) will be totalled at the end of May and each affiliate will receive a bonus based on the following scale:

Total Commission Value (For April and May)/ Total Bonus

• $500+             Total Bonus: $15.00
• $1,000+          Total Bonus: $30.00
• $2,000+          Total Bonus: $60.00
• $3,500+          Total Bonus: $100.00
• $5,000+          Total Bonus: $200.00
• $7,500+          Total Bonus: $350.00
• $10,000+        Total Bonus: $500.00
• $20,000+          Total Bonus: $1500.00
• $50,000+          Total Bonus: $3000.00

It’s as simple as that!

All bonuses will be applied automatically and added to your June 7th commission payment (7 days later).

We are now just over a week following launch and I am pleased to say that we have increased the total number of live campaigns on the network to 172 (to be approximate).

This is literally growing by the day (we lanuched at around the 150 mark) with only the best campaigns being added. Obviously, over time we will be able to see the performance of all of the campaigns and reports will be made available (by the affiliate-elected ‘Campaign Performance Reporter’) so all affiliates can make informed decsions regarding the best campaigns and offers to promote.

I think I will update this again when we go beyond 200 (should be in the next week or so).

As usual, the affiliates will be able to vote on the level of referral commission, but we do already know one thing… that we have to offer the best rate around So, having scoured other networks, the highest commission we could find was 6%. Well, we thought, with the RBA model, we can do better than that!

So, the referral commission has been set at 8%! This is a lifetime rate, so all affiliates referred will earn the referrer 8% of their lifetime earnings.

• Title: Marketing Manager
• Estimated Monthly Hours Required: 20
• Current Pay Level: $240 per month

Description: The role of the marketing manager is to build a monthly marketing strategy as a means of raising the profile of the network and increasing affiliate/advertiser activity. This strategy will then be carried out by Webtistic (and/or any other elected staff necessary).

The strategy will be published as a report and submitted to Webtistic in the first week of each new month, and should be as detailed as possible, including costings of each marketing activity. The report should also be added to the forum under ‘Staff Reports’ for other affiliates to view and comment on.

Description: The role of the new business manager is to recruit new advertisers/merchants to the network.

This position will involve approaching potential merchants and advising them of the networks merchant/advertiser services and then forwarding any details of interested parties to Webtistic for adding to the network.

Each commission is earned per new merchant/advertiser actually added to the network.

This position is offered on a flexible basis in that the successful applicant is able to work the number of hours that suits them.

The position will involve analysing weekly campaign statistics (received once per week via email) and making a weekly forum report (under Campaign Reports forum), along with ongoing analysis and the answering of campaign-related affiliate questions on the Campaign Reports forum.

Now the network is officially open and tested and all-singing, all-dancing, it is time to commence with the initial basic marketing plan to cover April.

Obviously, the marketing budget (which will eventually be controlled by affiliates) is not yet in place (as no profits have been made as yet) and so we are setting aside a small budget to get started.

To summarise, the first phase of marketing (April) will consist of the following:

7. Announcing The Launch To Members Of Our UK Network
8. Secure A Dedicated Forum At One Or More Of The Larger Affiliate Forums

So, we will report back on the results of this initial plan with a marketing report in May, including traffic statistics.
